Moïse Kean has been given the green light to resume competitive action after recovering from a head injury sustained during Fiorentina’s Serie A match against Hellas Verona.
The Italian-Ivorian striker missed his side’s clash against Lecce on 28 February due to the injury, but Fiorentina confirmed in a statement on Monday that medical examinations produced positive results, allowing Kean to return to the pitch.
“Following the head trauma that occurred during the Hellas Verona – Fiorentina league match, Moïse Kean underwent the clinical and instrumental tests scheduled.
Given the positive result of the tests carried out, the footballer can resume regular competitive activity,” the club’s statement read.
Kean’s absence had been a concern for Fiorentina, with the 24-year-old playing a key role in the team’s attack this season.
He has made 30 appearances in all competitions, scoring 19 goals and providing two assists.
His return will be a significant boost for Fiorentina as they aim to strengthen their position in Serie A and push for European qualification in the closing stages of the campaign.
