Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca has confirmed that its supporters will not be allowed to attend the upcoming match against RS Berkane on Friday.
Berkane will host Wydad at the Stade Municipal de Berkane in a highly anticipated Matchday 23 fixture of the Moroccan Professional League, with kick-off set for 21:00 GMT.
In an official statement, Wydad revealed that authorities had informed them that their fans would be prohibited from traveling to Berkane for the match.
The club acknowledged the decision in a spirit of sportsmanship but emphasized the importance of applying the same measures equally. Wydad has since raised the issue with the Professional League.
This season, Wydad, along with Raja Casablanca and FAR Rabat, has been among the clubs most affected by travel restrictions on their supporters, a situation that has sparked frustration among their fan bases.
The upcoming clash holds significant weight, as it will influence the battle for the top two spots in the league.
Additionally, Wydad will be seeking revenge after suffering a home defeat to Berkane in the first leg of the competition.
