Serge Gakpé, the Togolese striker for Nantes, has announced via his Facebook account that he will be unavailable for the upcoming match against Gazélec Ajaccio. Gakpé sustained a thigh injury during the match against Lens, and an MRI is scheduled to assess the extent of the injury. The Togolese player, who has been in excellent form for Nantes since his return from the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations with Togo, scored his second goal in two games and fifth of the season in the match against Lens. However, the injury will now force him to take a break from the field.
