Algerian defender, Ramy Bensebaini has revealed that he wishes he had not featured for Borussia Dortmund in the games against Holstein Kiel and Frankfurt last month.
The defender who was affected by the Flu epidemic featured in those two games not fully recovered because of the lack of personnel.
In the games against Kiel and Frankfurt, fans of Dortmund were not impressed with the performances of Ramy Bensebaini.
Speaking on the two games in a recent interview, the Algerian noted that he wished he had not played.
“I wanted to help the team. I wanted to be with them. Today I know that it was not a good decision on my part because I really wasn’t in shape. It would have been better if I hadn’t played the two games against Kiel and Frankfurt and had waited a little longer,” the defender explained.
He continued, “I then had the tooth pulled. It was too painful. I couldn’t even sleep at night. Now everything is fine again. The spectators come to see the game. And they don’t know what else is going to happen. They can expect: When you’re on the pitch as a player, you’re 100 percent committed. There were bad results, the coach, Nuri, was sacked. It was very complicated for me and for the club.”
This season, Ramy Bensebaini has helped Dortmund in so many ways. He has one goal and five assists after making 20 appearances in the German Bundesliga.
