Mohamed Salah has expressed his support for fellow Egyptian Omar Marmoush, emphasizing their strong relationship and his hopes for more Egyptian players to thrive in Europe.
With Marmoush now part of Manchester City’s squad, the anticipation is building for a potential showdown between the two in their next match. Despite their club rivalry, Salah is delighted to see his compatriot making strides at the highest level.
“I am very happy for him, and I hope that many Egyptian players will join us here and play at the highest level,” Salah said.
The Liverpool star described his bond with Marmoush as that of an older brother, adding that they stay in touch regularly and support each other both on and off the pitch.
Salah also highlighted Egypt’s untapped potential, stressing that local talents need to embrace a new mindset to succeed in European football.
Currently leading the Premier League scoring charts with 24 goals, Salah remains a dominant force, while Marmoush continues to find his footing with three goals to his name.
