Promising attacker, Lamine Yamal has hinted at signing a new Barcelona contract.
The Spanish international with Moroccan and Equatorial Guinea heritage has been a key player for the Catalan club in the ongoing season.
The 17-year-old speaking in an interview with Mundo Deportivo addressed the subject of his renewal.
“I think no one doubts what I am as a Barça fan, how much I love this club. Since my debut, I have said it, and I believe it will be resolved in the end. If both parties want something to happen, it will happen. But I think no one can doubt what I feel for this club.”
When asked if the agreement with the club to extend his contract for several more years once he turned 18 was still valid, Yamal did not give a clear answer but gave hints on when he could sign his next renewal:
“The truth is, I’m not getting involved in that. There’s still a long way to go until we finish this season first. In the end, in July, when the next year begins, it will be resolved and everyone will see it. But for now, as we’ve said, I’m focused on La Liga, the Champions League, and the Copa del Rey, which are the most important things.”
Yamal has scored five goals in 21 appearances for Barcelona.
