Togo is set to face Djibouti in a double-header as part of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2026 qualifiers.
With just two days until the first leg, Eperviers Dames head coach Kaï Tomety addressed the media on Wednesday, expressing both confidence and caution ahead of the encounter.
Despite a commanding 13-0 victory over Djibouti in 2023, Tomety remains vigilant about the challenge ahead.

I know that the level of the players must have changed and I also believe that it will be another match, she stated during the press conference.
Togo’s preparation comes after a turbulent period following their elimination against Tanzania, which led to internal tensions within the squad.
However, Tomety reassured fans that the team is now focused and unified.

The coach further emphasized the team’s ambition to secure a spot at the 2026 AFCON.

Both legs of the qualifier will be played in Lomé, giving Togo a significant home advantage.
The first leg is scheduled for February 21, with the return fixture taking place on February 26.
