Al Ahly emerged victorious in the 2013 CAF Super Cup, securing a 2-1 triumph against AC Léopards de Dolisie from Congo. Rami Rabia initiated the scoring in the first half following Al Ahly’s dominant performance. Upon returning from halftime, Mohammed Barakat extended their lead with a second goal in the 70th minute.
AC Leopards briefly rekindled their chances in the 77th minute, narrowing the score with a goal courtesy of Rudy Guélor. Despite a late surge by the Congolese team, Al Ahly maintained their composure, ultimately clinching the African Super Cup.
This victory marked a notable achievement for Al Ahly as they secured a double, having previously won the African Champions League against Esperance de Tunis in 2012.
