A few weeks ago, Demba Ba suffered a broken nose during a match against his former team, Newcastle, leading to his stint in the infirmary. Now back from injury, the Senegalese striker has joined the long tradition of masked players. In Chelsea’s match against Brentford in the English FA Cup on Sunday, Ba wore a rather unique mask.
The mask is designed not only to protect his face but also his nose, which is not yet fully healed. Taking advantage of this, Ba incorporated a personal touch to the mask. It features the inscription of his name (Ba) and his jersey number (29), all in the colors of his club, blue.
