Casa Sports striker Pape Sané has completed a move to Niort in the French Ligue 2, signing a contract for two and a half years. Niort, in search of offensive reinforcement during the winter transfer window, secured the signing shortly before the market closed.
The official statement on the Chamois Niortais website reads, “Looking for offensive reinforcement during this winter transfer window, the Chamois Niortais found what they were looking for a few hours before the market closed. Thus, Pape Sané has just signed up with the promoted side in Ligue 2 until June 2015.”
Pape Sané, formerly of Jaraaf in Dakar, played a key role in winning the Senegal championship title with Casa Sports in 2012. The transfer to Niort represents a new chapter in his football journey.
