Elye Wahi’s adaptation at Eintracht Frankfurt is progressing rapidly, with head coach Dino Toppmöller acknowledging the striker’s growing impact in training.
Despite this, Toppmöller remained tight-lipped about whether Wahi will make his first start this weekend.
“Whether he starts on Sunday or maybe only in the next games, we will still be open,” said Toppmöller, emphasizing the positive strides the 22-year-old has made. “The training impressions are very positive. He also scored two goals in the internal test and had several good offensive campaigns. He also met in the eleven-to-work yesterday.”
Well integrated into the squad, Wahi is edging closer to significant playing time. While another bench role seems likely, he could see earlier minutes in the upcoming match against Holstein Kiel.
“He is basically on the right track. We can look forward to a really good player,” Toppmöller affirmed—hinting that Wahi’s full debut might not be far off.
