Michy Batshuayi is in line to make his debut for Eintracht Frankfurt against Borussia Mönchengladbach after his late January transfer from Galatasaray for €3 million.

Head coach Dino Toppmöller confirmed the striker has a strong chance of playing on Saturday.

The 31-year-old Belgian forward, who previously played for Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga, arrives in good form. He featured regularly for Galatasaray, playing 90 minutes in cup matches and Europa League fixtures in December and January.

“He has match fitness, so there’s no need for a long adjustment period,” Toppmöller said in a press conference. However, he acknowledged Batshuayi still needs time to adapt to Eintracht’s system. “New club, new teammates, new style of play—this doesn’t happen overnight.”

Despite the adaptation phase, Frankfurt hopes for immediate impact. “We want goals as soon as possible,” Toppmöller added. While a starting spot may come later, Batshuayi is expected to get his first minutes in an Eintracht jersey against Gladbach.
