Anass Salah-Eddine has suffered an early setback at AS Roma after being left out of the club’s squad for the Europa League knockout stage.
The left-back recently completed a move from FC Twente to the Italian side, with the transfer fee reportedly reaching up to €10 million.
However, despite his high valuation, Salah-Eddine was not included in Roma’s squad list for the competition’s round of 16.
The omission means the Dutch-Moroccan defender will miss Roma’s crucial clash against FC Porto.
Should the Serie A club progress further, there is a possibility they could face his former team, FC Twente, who are set to take on FK Bodø/Glimt.
