South African outfit Kaizer Chiefs have expressed a strong interest in goalkeeper Xolani Ngcobo as they seeks to strengthen their goalkeeping department.
The 31-year-old shot stopper has been impressive for Royal AM in the ongoing Premier League campaign in South Africa. He has managed 9 appearances in the Premiership, conceding 10 goals and keeping four clean sheets.
Kaizer Chiefs are considering Ngcobo as a potential addition to their ranks, not necessarily as a first choice goalkeeper.
Aside Ngcobo, the Amakhosi outfit are said to have shortlisted other goalkeepers including Nigeria star Stanley Nwabali, who plies his trade for fellow South African club, Chippa United.
With Royal AM facing financial challenges and the uncertainty about the club’s future, there is a possibility that certain players may depart the club including Ngcobo, who has attracted a significant interest from clubs.
Xolani Ngcobo will be willing to join Kaizer Chiefs as he seeks improvement in his career.
Meanwhile, the enterprising goalkeeper has yet to feature for the South African national team.
