The Super Eagles will face crucial fixtures in their quest to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with the dates for their upcoming matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe now confirmed.

The announcement, made via the team’s official X account, revealed that the first match will take place in Kigali on Friday, March 21, where Nigeria will face Rwanda’s Amavubi at the Amahoro Stadium.

Just a few days later, on Tuesday, March 25, the Super Eagles will host Zimbabwe’s Warriors at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

The Super Eagles are yet to secure a win in the 2026 qualifiers, having registered three draws and one loss in their opening four matches.

Currently sitting in fifth place in Group C, they have accumulated just three points, leaving them with a challenging task ahead.

Rwanda currently leads the group with seven points, closely followed by South Africa and Benin, who also have seven points but a lower goal difference.

Lesotho occupies fourth place with five points, while Zimbabwe remains in last position with two points.

These upcoming matches are critical for Nigeria as they look to improve their standing and push for a spot in the 2026 World Cup.

The Super Eagles will be aiming for a strong performance against both Rwanda and Zimbabwe to reignite their qualification campaign and secure vital points in the battle for a place at the global tournament.
