Arsenal legend Robert Pires believes Nigeria star Victor Osimhen can suit in perfectly at the club.

The Gunners are still in the title race this season despite their early FA Cup exit to Manchester United in the third round.

Currently second in the Premier League, the London-based club continue to push for their first title in the top-flight since 2003.

Also, the Gunners has progressed to the round of 16 of the Champions League campaign.

“I respect Mikel Arteta’s decisions and the club’s management, but in my time, I played with Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Nwankwo Kanu, and we had three real strikers, which made scoring goals easier. Maybe this is the style of modern football, and we have to adapt to it.”

Asked who the ideal striker Arsenal should sign, Pires had no doubts when he said: “Victor Osimhen… he has the perfect profile to play for Arsenal, especially with players like Gabriel Martinelli, Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka.”

“I am not the owner or the manager, I am just an Arsenal fan who will always support them. But if we can only sign one player, it has to be Osimhen”

The Nigerian international is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Serie A club, Galatasaray.
