Cody Gakpo’s double brace helped Liverpool secure a commanding 4-1 win over Ipswich Town on Saturday, showcasing his clinical finishing and growing confidence in front of goal.

After the match, Gakpo emphasized the team’s collective effort, saying, “I love scoring goals here, but today the victory was the most important thing.” The Dutch forward was quick to praise his teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold, adding, “Everyone knows their quality. I was eager to be in the penalty area on time.”

The performance highlighted Liverpool’s evolving team dynamic under new management, with Gakpo noting, “Obviously we grow as a team.
