Issa Kaboré continues to impress at SV Werder Bremen, with the 23-year-old’s performances becoming more impactful each match.
The Manchester City loanee made his fourth substitute appearance in the Bundesliga clash against Borussia Dortmund and showcased a stellar performance that helped change the course of the game.
Kaboré replaced the underperforming Derrick Köhn on the left side and immediately brought a dynamic presence to the pitch. His aggression, bravery, and flair did not go unnoticed by head coach Ole Werner. “He is aggressive, brave, dynamic. What we promised ourselves from him,” Werner said, adding, “I think that this was his best substitution today since he’s been with us.”
Werner also praised the contribution of fellow substitute Leonardo Bittencourt, who made an instant impact, scoring the equalizer shortly after coming on. The coach noted that the duo’s arrival brought a new energy to the team, particularly Kaboré, who helped shift the momentum of the match. “He will give him buoyancy,” Werner added, highlighting the young full-back’s importance in the game’s turnaround.
