Morocco will battle Comoros in the opening match at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
The fixture was confirmed during the draw for the highly-anticipated AFCON in Rabat on Monday, January 27.
The host nation, Morocco automatically is the first team in Group A.
During the draw, Comoros joined Morocco in position A4, setting up what should be an exciting opening match at the 2025 AFCON.
The clash will be played on December 21.
The two other countries in Group A include Zambia and Mali.
This year’s AFCON which will commence on Sunday, December 21, will run through to the next month with the final scheduled for Sunday, January 18.
All 24 countries must prepare their national teams well to ensure a proper competition for continental glory.
