Manchester United have raised their bid to €30 million (£25.3 million) for Lecce left-back Patrick Dorgu after their initial €27 million offer was rejected.

The 20-year-old defender, known for his attacking style, has been identified as a key target for manager Ruben Amorim’s system.

Lecce, currently battling relegation, are holding out for €40 million (£33.7 million), with club president Saverio Sticchi Damiani prioritizing the retention of top players.

Meanwhile, United have sanctioned Antony’s loan move to Real Betis, with the Spanish club covering most of his wages, saving United £1.5 million.

Marcus Rashford’s future also remains uncertain, as talks with Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan stalled over his £300,000-per-week salary demands.

The outcome of United’s pursuit of Dorgu could play a crucial role in their efforts to strengthen the squad this season.
