German-Nigerian defender Felix Agu is back in action after a challenging recovery.
The 25-year-old left-back participated in parts of team training with SV Werder Bremen for the first time in over two months, signaling a crucial step toward his full return.
Agu, sidelined by a lateral ligament tear in his knee, has been making steady progress. His return brings optimism to Bremen’s defensive setup, with head of the professional department Peter Niemeyer cautiously hinting at Agu’s potential readiness in two to three weeks.
According to DeichStube, SV Werder Bremen has welcomed Felix Agu back to the training ground. The left-back is suffering from the effects of an outer ligament injury in his knee and is now making progress.
“It will still take a while, but Felix is on a very good path,” said Peter Niemeyer. “It’s pain-free, but I still don’t want to specify a timeline.”
The Green-Whites look forward to Agu’s versatility alongside Derrick Köhn and Issa Kaboré, adding depth to their defense.
