Arsenal legend Nigel Winterburn has urged manager Mikel Arteta to target Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, suggesting the Nigerian striker could be the key to winning the Premier League.
Speaking to William Hill Vegas, Winterburn highlighted the Gunners’ need for a reliable goal scorer.
Osimhen has been linked, as have Benjamin Sesko and Dusan Vlahovic, but none can guarantee 20-25 goals a season,” he said.
Winterburn stressed that Arsenal must find a forward who fits the team’s style and can consistently deliver.
It doesn’t matter who they choose as long as he scores the goals needed to win the league,” he added.
While Arsenal have improved under Arteta, the absence of a clinical striker remains a concern.
