Premier League outfit, Manchester City are determined to snap up Egyptian international Omar Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt in the ongoing transfer window.
The 25-year-old has been outstanding for Eintracht Frankfurt in the ongoing campaign, scoring 13 goals and providing 8 assists in the German Bundesliga.
His remarkable performance has caught the attention of the Premier League giants, who are desperate to augment their squad following a dip in form in the current season.
Marmoush is the second top scorer in the Bundesliga this season behind Harry Kane, who has 14 goals.
The Manchester-based club wants to finalize the transfer as quickly as possible, with the Bundesliga outfit setting a price tag of €80 million for the player.
With no release clause in Marmoush’s contract, any offers below this amount will be outright rejected.
City, however, considers a transfer fee of €50-60 million to be more realistic. At this time, no formal negotiations between the clubs have taken place.
Meanwhile, his current contract with Frankfurt is expected to elapse in the summer of 2027.
