Mahmoud Abdel Moneim, widely known as Kahraba, is on the brink of leaving Al Ahly SC during the current winter transfer window, with several clubs vying for his signature.
The Egyptian forward has reportedly received official offers from two Libyan teams, a Qatari club, and an Iraqi side.
According to sources from Africafoot, Kahraba has been approached by Libyan clubs Al-Ittihad SC and Asswehly Sports Club, Qatari club Al-Shamal, and Iraqi club Al-Zawra’a Sports Club.
These clubs have expressed strong interest in securing the 28-year-old’s services for the remainder of the season.
While Kahraba, who has 31 international caps and 5 goals for Egypt, has yet to make a final decision on his next move, discussions are ongoing.
Initial talks suggest that Libyan club Al-Ittihad SC and Iraqi club Al-Zawra’a Sports Club are currently the frontrunners, with both teams reportedly leading the race to sign the player, ahead of Al-Shamal from Qatar and Asswehly SC from Libya.
Kahraba has enjoyed a successful stint with Al Ahly since joining the Cairo-based club in 2019, winning 14 titles during his time there.
The forward has made 143 appearances for the club, scoring 48 goals and providing 22 assists.
His contribution has been vital to the team’s success, but it now seems likely that he will seek a new challenge, with the winter transfer window providing the ideal opportunity for a move.
The next few days could prove pivotal for Kahraba, as he weighs his options and makes a decision regarding his future.
