Moroccan powerhouse Wydad Casablanca have withdrawn their interest in South African forward Lebo Mothiba.
The 28-year-old is currently without a club after ending his spell with French Ligue 1 outfit Strasbourg.
Mothiba is set to return from an injury that ruled him out for several months during his spell with Strasbourg.
According to reports, Wydad AC have decided not to sign Lebo Mothiba in the ongoing transfer window.
“I’m told Wydad AC have decided against signing Lebogang Mothiba after being assessed by Rhulani Mokwena. The 28-year-old Bafana Bafana striker is leaving Morocco & he remains a free-agent”. Journalist Austin Ditlhobolo confirms.
Mothiba joined the French Ligue 1 in the 2018/019 season, signing for Strasbourg from Lille. During his five season stint, the forward racked up 20 goals.
