Technical Director of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Augustine Eguavoen has slammed Chelsea, Tosin Adarabioyo for turning down the Super Eagles.
The Super Eagles approached the former Fulham central defender during the time of Gernot Rohr as head coach.
However, Adarabioyo turned down the offer to play for the West African country.
Former coach, Jose Peseiro also made the attempt to bring the lanky defender but it proved futile.
With the World Cup qualifiers set to resume in March, Adarabioyo who is still hoping for an England call up has again dominated discussions in Nigeria with many calling on the NFF to make another push to have him in the Nigerian colours.
“He (Tosin) can’t even get into the Super Eagles starting lineup,” he told OwnGoalNigeria.com.
“I am a Chelsea fan and he is one of the players that has not helped the team this season, and like a lot of others we can’t comprehend why he was signed in the first place,” he added.
Tosin Adarabioyo has so far made 10 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea in the ongoing season.
