According to Sky’s Patrick Berger, Dortmund manager Nuri Sahin has detailed his club’s needs for the winter transfer window, including a central midfielder who can play the link role. Chukwuemeka, 21, has caught Dortmund’s attention as a potential solution for this position.
Despite his potential, Chukwuemeka has struggled for consistent game time under Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca. The Blues are reportedly open to a loan deal for the England youth international, offering him the chance to regain match fitness and exposure. However, Dortmund faces a significant hurdle: Chelsea’s high asking price of €40-45 million, a figure deemed excessive by the Bundesliga club, making a permanent deal unlikely.
