Han-Noah Massengo is set to rejoin AJ Auxerre on loan until the end of the season, as reported by L’Équipe.
The 23-year-old midfielder, who rose through AS Monaco’s academy, had a notable impact during his previous loan spell at Auxerre in the latter half of the 2022/23 season. While his performances caught attention, they couldn’t prevent L’AJA from relegation. That summer, Massengo signed with Burnley, but his time in Lancashire has been underwhelming.
With just 93 minutes of action this season and Burnley now in the EFL Championship, a return to the Bourgogne region offers the chance to reignite his career.
Unlike his earlier stint, Auxerre are thriving in Ligue 1 this season, positioning themselves for a potential European qualification. Massengo’s addition bolsters a midfield that could be pivotal in sustaining their high-flying form, especially as Rayan Raveloson edges closer to a departure.
This move symbolizes a reunion with unfinished business as both player and club aim to make their mark on French football.
