English-Nigerian Ethan Nwaneri sidelined with injury after Brighton draw

Ethan Nwaneri

Arsenal’s English forward of Nigerian descent Ethan Nwaneri is set to miss several upcoming matches due to an injury sustained during the recent 1-1 draw against Brighton.

The young attacking midfielder suffered the injury in the first half after scoring a remarkable goal that initially gave Arsenal the lead against the Seagulls.

Manager Mikel Arteta confirmed the news, stating, “Unfortunately, he has picked up an injury and is going to be out for a few weeks. It’s a muscular injury.”

The loss of Nwaneri poses a significant challenge for Arteta, especially with fellow winger Bukayo Saka also sidelined due to a minor injury.

Nwaneri’s absence will test Arsenal’s depth as they navigate a crucial period in the season. The young talent had been making a name for himself with his contributions since Saka’s absence, and his injury comes as a setback for the team’s attacking options.

As Arsenal prepares for their upcoming fixtures, Arteta will need to find effective replacements to fill the gaps left by Nwaneri and Saka.
