Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush is reportedly eager to join Manchester City, with the 25-year-old making it clear that the Premier League champions are his preferred destination, per Sky Sports – Switzerland.
During recent talks with City’s management, the Frankfurt man expressed his desire to play under Pep Guardiola, citing the team’s style of play as a major draw. Despite Arsenal’s early interest, the striker’s focus has remained on City.
Manchester City have already taken steps to secure Marmoush’s signature, offering him a five-year contract set to begin on July 1st, 2025, as part of their preparations for the 2025/2026 season.
Although City would welcome his arrival sooner, the young forward is unlikely to make an immediate move.
Currently under contract with Eintracht Frankfurt until June 2027, Marmoush is expected to leave the Bundesliga side only for a fee of at least €60 million.
Frankfurt, determined to extract maximum value from their rising star, could push the price even higher, aiming for a new transfer record, similar to the €95 million they received for Randal Kolo Muani’s move to PSG.
While Liverpool may be keeping an eye on Marmoush as a potential successor to Mohamed Salah, who could leave Anfield, the forward is currently focused solely on his potential move to Manchester City.
