Nigeria outfit Enyimba International FC have appointed Stanley Eguma as their new head coach.
Eguma replaces Yemi Olarenwaju at the club and is expected to play a huge role in an attempt to make a meaningful impact in the Nigerian top-flight.
The club severed ties with Yemi Olarenwaju after a string of unimpressive results, losing their last nine games in both domestic and international matches.
Enyimba FC, the most successful football team in Nigeria has now settled on Stanley Eguma as they aim to rejuvenate their season.
The club is familiar with Eguma, a seasoned tactician with a distinguished career in Nigerian football, as he was a member of their coaching staff during their memorable victories in the CAF Champions League in the early 2000s.
Having won numerous league titles during his time with Rivers United, he solidified his standing as one of the NPFL’s best players.
Enyimba FC believes Eguma’s return will boost their goals, both in local leagues and in African competitions. His first task is to steady the team and build their confidence as they prepare to play against Insurance FC in an NPFL game on December 31 at the Enyimba International Stadium.
Fans are excited about Eguma’s leadership and hope he can bring back Enyimba’s winning ways and past success. This decision is a crucial step for the People’s Elephant as they work to regain their status as one of Africa’s top football teams.
