Fulham manager Marco Silva has praised Nigerian forward Alex Iwobi for his standout performance in securing a 2-2 draw against Bournemouth at Craven Cottage on Sunday.
The match saw the visitors fight back twice, with goals from Raul Jimenez and Harry Wilson being canceled out by Evanilson and a late equalizer from Dango Ouattara.
Iwobi nearly made it a dream ending to the first half with a long-range attempt aimed at the top corner, but his effort narrowly missed, lacking the dip needed to find the net.
After the game, Silva spoke highly of Iwobi, who joined Fulham from Everton in the summer.
“Alex Iwobi has been fantastic,” Silva told the club’s official website. “Last season was his best so far, but this season, he’s only getting better. He’s playing at a high level, scoring, assisting, and contributing in various positions.”
So far this season, Iwobi has netted five goals and provided three assists in 18 Premier League appearances.
