The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the renewal of its partnership with the National Lottery of Côte d’Ivoire (Lonaci), marking a significant boost for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
The deal, confirmed through CAF’s social media channels on Monday, cements Lonaci as an official sponsor of the tournament.
This extended collaboration builds on the success of previous partnerships between CAF and Lonaci.
The Ivorian lottery company played a vital role in the 2023 AFCON, hosted by Côte d’Ivoire earlier this year, and also supported the CAF Women’s Champions League held in November.
CAF President Patrice Motsepe welcomed the agreement, emphasizing its importance for the growth and promotion of African football.
“This partnership with Lonaci highlights the strong bond between football and local development initiatives.
It is a testament to the unity and progress we strive for in African football,” he stated.
The 2025 AFCON is set to take place from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, and this renewed partnership is expected to bring significant benefits.
Lonaci’s involvement will enhance the tournament’s organizational framework and provide essential financial support, ensuring the event meets global standards.
Lonaci, a long-standing supporter of African football, expressed its enthusiasm for continuing its collaboration with CAF.
The company’s CEO, Dramane Coulibaly, highlighted the alignment of Lonaci’s values with the spirit of the AFCON. “Football is a unifying force that brings communities together.
Through this partnership, we reaffirm our commitment to fostering talent and celebrating the passion for football across the continent,” he said.
The sponsorship renewal also underscores Lonaci’s dedication to supporting not just high-profile events like AFCON but also grassroots football initiatives.
The company has consistently worked to empower local talent, helping to develop the next generation of African football stars.
As the countdown to the 2025 tournament begins, CAF and Lonaci’s strengthened alliance promises to deliver a memorable and successful AFCON in Morocco.
The partnership stands as a testament to the growing appeal of African football on the global stage and its potential to inspire millions across the continent.
The renewed deal sets a positive tone for the preparations, with CAF confident that the 2025 AFCON will continue to elevate the status of African football while celebrating its rich heritage and talent.
