Football administrator Tlhopie Motsepe has said his final goodbye to Mamelodi Sundowns after stepping down as the Chief Executive Officer of the club.
Motsepe leaves the club after almost four year spell with the South African giants. He led the team during a major transformation period, and his departure marks the end of an important chapter for the current champions of the club.
The enterprising football administrator replaced his father (Patrice Motsepe) after he was elected as the leader of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
Appointed in 2021, Motsepe quickly proved his worth by leading the club to continuous success domestically and on the continent.
“It has been an honor to serve this wonderful club. Mamelodi Sun Downs is not just a football team; it is a family and a beacon of hope for many. And as I begin the next chapter of my journey, I will always be a part of this big family.” He said.
