Simba SC coach Fadlu Davids is not satisfied despite his outfit massive victory over Kagera Sugar in the Mainland Premier League on Saturday.
Despite snatching a 5-2 victory in the highly-competitive clash, Fadlu Davids has voiced his displeasure with his team’s defensive play.
With the victory, Simba won for the seventh time in a row and moved up to the top of the standings, one point ahead of rivals Azam FC.
Former Asante Kotoko striker Steven Mukwala netted a brace as Simba SC made light work of their opponent.
Simba controlled the game, but defensive lapses allowed Kagera Sugar to score two late goals, a situation Davids found unacceptable.
“While I appreciate the five goals scored and the overall performance, conceding two goals is not the standard we aim for,” Davids stated in a post-match statement.
“We must deal with this right now since it is an attitude problem rather than a tactical one. Our power depends on keeping clean sheets” he added.
Simba’s solid run of form underlines their offensive capabilities, but Davids insists on improving the team’s defensive consistency to sustain their title challenge in the coming fixtures.
