Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé has urged his teammates to stay hungry in their bid to win the five remaining titles this season after their victory in the FIFA Intercontinental Cup.
The 25-year-old’s contributions included a goal and an assist during the final, held at Lusail Stadium in Qatar on Thursday night.
Real Madrid’s victory marked their second major title of the season, having previously claimed the UEFA Super Cup by overcoming Atalanta 2-0 in August.
“The most important thing is the trophies. Goals help win titles, but the team is always more important. We won a very important trophy. Of the seven [possible], we’ve won the first two.
“We’ll aim to win the Spanish Super Cup when we return from the break. Other trophies are also important, but we need to take advantage of what we have now. We must stay hungry to win the remaining five,” Mbappe said.
Mbappe overcame an injury to feature in the game and help Real Madrid win the trophy.
