AFAD’s unbeaten run in the Ivorian Ligue 1 has come to an end, with Stade d’Abidjan inflicting a 3-1 defeat in a delayed match from the 12th round of fixtures.

Meanwhile, SOL FC continued their strong form with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over ISCA, extending their winning streak.

AFAD, who had been enjoying a stellar season at the top of the league, came into the match looking to bounce back after their recent loss to SOL FC.

They made a strong start, taking the lead just five minutes into the game.

However, their advantage was short-lived, as Stade d’Abidjan equalized only four minutes later through Abdoul Koanda.

The second half saw Stade d’Abidjan assert their dominance, and the game was effectively decided in the final minutes.

Youssouf Koné put the visitors ahead in the 88th minute, and in stoppage time, Mamoudou Bachabi sealed the win with a third goal to make it 3-1.

Despite the loss, AFAD remains at the top of the league with 30 points, five ahead of second-placed Stella Club.

Stade d’Abidjan, on the other hand, climbed to fifth place with 22 points.

In the day’s other match, SOL FC extended their impressive run with a 2-1 victory over ISCA, who had initially taken the lead through Vianey Bregui’s goal in the 29th minute.

However, SOL FC responded in the second half, with Sindou Junior Bakayoko converting a penalty in the 69th minute to level the score.

The match was decided in added time when SOL FC snatched a late winner, pushing them up to 7th place with 19 points.

ISCA, who have struggled for consistency, remain in 11th place with 15 points.

The results mark a significant turning point for both teams, with Stade d’Abidjan showing resilience in their win over AFAD and SOL FC continuing to build momentum after their earlier victory over the league leaders.
