Emmanuel Adebayor, the captain of the Togolese national team, showed resilience and optimism despite the defeat against Ivory Coast in the CAN 2013. In an interview with Africa Top Sports in Rustenburg, Adebayor shared his thoughts on the team’s morale and their upcoming match against Algeria.

When asked about the morale of the team after the defeat, Adebayor acknowledged the disappointment but mentioned that the mood was better compared to the previous night. Despite the loss, he highlighted the team’s good performance and the challenges faced against Ivory Coast. Adebayor expressed hope for better luck in the next match against Algeria, emphasizing the importance of bouncing back quickly since their goal is to reach the quarter-finals.

Regarding the upcoming match against Algeria, Adebayor acknowledged the difficulty, considering Algeria also lost their first match. He recognized the quality of the Algerian team and expressed surprise at their loss against Tunisia. Adebayor remained focused on the task at hand, stating that Togo knows what they have to do – win the upcoming match against Algeria to keep their quarter-final hopes alive.

Overall, Adebayor’s positive attitude and determination reflected the resilience required in tournament football, where quick recovery and a strong mindset are crucial for success.
