The management of Qatari club Al-Shamal SC has addressed speculation regarding the potential transfer of Algerian forward Baghdad Bounedjah, confirming that a move to Egyptian giants Al-Ahly is a possibility, but only under certain conditions.
A representative from Al-Shamal confirmed that, while no official offers have been received, the club is open to discussions should Al-Ahly submit a formal bid for the 31-year-old striker.
If we receive an official offer from Al-Ahly Cairo to recruit the player, we will discuss it directly with him,” the official stated.
The club management will then examine the advantages and disadvantages of his transfer before making a decision in the interest of the club and the player.
As of now, no official proposals have been made for Bounedjah, with the club only fielding inquiries about his availability.
The striker, who has made a significant impact for the Algerian national team and his club, has attracted attention from top-tier clubs across Africa, including Al-Ahly and Tunisian powerhouse Esperance.
