Morocco’s U-20 women’s national football team has been granted a bye in the opening round of African qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA Women’s World Cup, as announced by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
In the second round, Morocco is set to face the victor of the match between Gambia and Ivory Coast.
The first leg will take place away from home, while the second leg is scheduled to be played in Morocco.
According to Thursday’s draw held at CAF headquarters in Cairo, if Morocco advances to the third round, they will face the winner of the clash between Mali and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
For the fourth and final round, Morocco could potentially take on the winner of a qualification route involving Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Benin, and Guinea.
The 2026 U-20 Women’s World Cup will be hosted in Poland.
