French-Cameroonian star Kylian Mbappe will not be available when Real Madrid take on Rayo Vallecano in the Spanish La Liga this weekend.
The former Paris Saint Germain forward picked up an injury in mid-week as Real Madrid cruised to a victory over Atalanta in the Champions League.
Mbappe registered his name on the scoresheet, contributing to Real Madrid’s 3-2 away win on Tuesday night.
The 25-year-old was replaced in the 36th-minute by Brazil international Rodrigo.
And ahead of Vallecano’s clash, Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed Mbappe will not be available for the clash.
“Kylian Mbappe will NOT play tomorrow… but he will travel for the Intercontinental Cup in Doha. We will see if he plays. We will see”.
Meanwhile, the enterprising winger has managed 12 goals across competitions since joining Real Madrid in the summer.
