Borussia Dortmund’s summer signing, Serhou Guirassy, has put lingering transfer rumors to rest, addressing speculation about FC Bayern Munich’s interest in him during his move from VfB Stuttgart.
The Guinean striker, who joined BVB for €18 million in 2024, confirmed there was no direct approach from the Bundesliga champions.
Speaking to Sport Bild, Guirassy clarified: “I personally didn’t get a call, but I also heard there was interest. I never had an offer from Bayern Munich, so this question doesn’t even arise.”
The 28-year-old made it clear that Dortmund was always his first choice: “It was clear to me early on that I wanted to play for BVB.” His decision seems to have paid off, as Guirassy has become an integral part of Dortmund’s attacking line.
While Bayern’s rumored interest added intrigue to the transfer saga, Guirassy’s candid remarks underline his commitment to the Black and Yellow. Fans will undoubtedly hope his choice propels Dortmund to greater heights this season.
