Ugandan midfielder Bobosi Byaruhanga will officially part ways with Czech second-division club MFK Vyskov when his contract expires on December 31, 2024.

The 23-year-old, who joined the club in August 2022 from Uganda’s Vipers SC, has not made a single appearance for MFK Vyskov since his arrival.

Byaruhanga’s tenure with MFK Vyskov has largely been defined by two loan spells to MLS Next Pro side Austin II FC in the United States.

Over the past two seasons, he featured regularly for Austin II, making a total of 50 appearances in all competitions.

In the most recent season, he netted three goals and provided an additional assist.

His contributions helped the team as he became a key figure in the midfield.

Following the conclusion of the 2024 MLS Next Pro regular season, Byaruhanga returned to Uganda, where he is currently on vacation.

However, this visit is not just for leisure; it is also to address matters related to his future club.

A source close to BSG Group, Byaruhanga’s agency, confirmed that he will not be extending his contract with MFK Vyskov.

While the future remains uncertain, the source added that negotiations for a new deal are ongoing.

We are looking for a new home for Bobosi.

He will honor the rest of his contract with MFK Vyskov, but we are not renewing with them,” the source revealed.

We haven’t fully decided on a permanent move to Austin II yet, but that is a possibility.

Ultimately, we aim for a bigger project for Bobosi.

Byaruhanga’s experience extends beyond his club commitments.

The midfielder has been a regular for Uganda’s senior national team, earning 25 caps to date.

In those appearances, he has scored twice and assisted four times, further cementing his status as one of the promising talents in Ugandan football.

His success with Vipers SC, where he won two Ugandan Premier League titles, added to his growing reputation in the sport.

With his contract at MFK Vyskov nearing its end and his future still uncertain, Byaruhanga is poised for a new chapter in his football career, with several opportunities on the horizon.

His next move, whether it be a permanent switch to Austin II FC or a new club entirely, will likely be closely followed by both local and international fans.
