FIFA confirms Al Ahly and Inter Miami to open 2025 Club World Cup
FIFA has officially announced that Al Ahly, the reigning African champions, will face Inter Miami in the opening match of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
The highly anticipated encounter is scheduled for Sunday, June 15, 2025, as part of the tournament’s Group 1 fixtures.
In a statement released following the draw in Miami, FIFA revealed that Group 1 also features Brazilian club Palmeiras and Portuguese giants Porto.
The inclusion of these teams sets the stage for a fiercely competitive group.
