Emanuel Emegha is ready to make his long-awaited return to action for RC Strasbourg Alsace, following a seven-week injury break.
The 21-year-old forward is poised to be included in the squad for Strasbourg’s upcoming match against Stade de Reims on Sunday afternoon, according to L’Équipe.
Emegha’s journey back to fitness follows a sprained left ankle and knee sustained during Strasbourg’s 4-2 loss to Paris Saint-Germain on October 19. Initially expected to be sidelined for only two and a half weeks, the injury turned out to be more severe than first anticipated, extending his recovery time.
However, after a full training session on Wednesday, November 4, Emegha has been cleared for selection and will hope to feature in the crucial clash against Reims.
Born in the Netherlands to a Togolese father and Nigerian mother, Emegha represents the Netherlands at youth international level. His return will be a major boost for Strasbourg as they aim to secure vital points in Ligue 1.
