AC Milan delivered a resounding 6-1 victory over Sassuolo in the round of 16 of the Coppa Italia, showcasing their attacking prowess.
The match, held on Tuesday, saw Samuel Chukwueze play a starring role, scoring twice in the opening 21 minutes.
Chukwueze opened the scoring in the 12th minute before adding a second just nine minutes later.
Milan’s dominant performance was further bolstered by goals from Tijani Reijnders, Rafael Leao, Tammy Abraham, and Davide Calabria.
Sassuolo’s lone response came from Samuele Mulattieri, who pulled one back in the 59th minute.
The victory sees Milan advance to the next stage of the competition, with hopes of ending a 21-year drought since their last Coppa Italia triumph in the 2002/03 season.
