Rangers technical adviser Fidelis Ilechukwu has acknowledged the formidable challenge his team faces as they prepare to meet Enyimba in the highly anticipated Oriental derby on Tuesday. The match, which forms part of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 15 fixtures, will take place in Aba.
Ilechukwu expressed his respect for the Aba-based side, describing them as “the best team in Nigeria.
Speaking to 54footballx, he acknowledged the significance of the upcoming encounter, while maintaining confidence in his team’s readiness.
Big game accepted, important game against Enyimba on Tuesday, the best team in Nigeria,” he said.
While fully aware of the strength of Enyimba, who are also competing in continental competitions, Ilechukwu remained focused on his own team’s performance.
We are prepared for the game, it’s just football, three things will happen—win, lose, or draw,” he added.
He emphasized that despite Enyimba’s impressive form on the continent, his team would concentrate on their own style of play without distraction.
Rangers will look to continue their strong performances as they face off against one of the NPFL’s most decorated sides in what promises to be an intense derby clash.
