Genoa coach Patrick Vieira has eulogized Italian international of Ghanaian descent Mario Balotelli following their win against Udinese in the Serie A.
The former Manchester City star made cameo appearances when Genoa inflicted a 2-0 away win over Udinese on Sunday at the Bluenergy Stadium.
Balotelli replaced Alessandro Zanoli in the 76th-minute mark and showcased glimpses of good performance in the match.
Genoa scored in either half to snatch maximum points over Udinese in the week 14 of the Serie A.
Andrea Pinamonti opened the scoring in the 13th-minute mark before Lautaro Gianetti’s own goal in the 67th-minute sealed the win for Genoa.
“(Alessandro) Zanoli on the right has done really well, Vitinha is coming back from an injury and we’ll give him time.
“I think Zanoli and (Fabio) Miretti are working well defensively too, the substitutes have brought energy to the team.
“Balotelli played about fifteen minutes, he’s worked well during the week and he has to continue like this. Mario, like Vitinha, must continue to work, I’m happy with him.” He said.
