FUS Rabat and Maghreb Fez share spoils in Botola clash

Fus

FUS Rabat and Maghreb Fez (MAS) played to a 1-1 draw on Monday at the Municipal Stadium of Kénitra in a tightly contested match on the 11th day of the Botola Pro D1 “Inwi” season.

MAS took the lead in the first half through Mohamed Elbadaoui’s well-taken goal in the 33rd minute.

However, FUS responded swiftly after the break, with Abdessamad Mahir leveling the score in the 49th minute.

Both sides pressed for a winner in the remaining minutes but were unable to find the decisive breakthrough.

Standings Update

The result leaves FUS Rabat in 13th place on 13 points, reflecting their struggles to climb up the league table this season.

Meanwhile, Maghreb Fez maintained their strong campaign, consolidating second place with 19 points, keeping them firmly in contention near the top of the standings.

Competitive Encounter

The match showcased moments of quality from both teams, with MAS capitalizing on their early dominance to take the lead.

Elbadaoui’s opener came from a well-worked team move that left the FUS defense scrambling.

However, the hosts regrouped during the break and came out firing in the second half, with Mahir’s equalizer offering a lifeline.

Despite the shared points, the result reflected a spirited effort from both sides in what was an evenly balanced encounter.

Looking Ahead

FUS Rabat will need to find form soon to move away from the lower end of the table, as their current standing leaves little room for error.

Maghreb Fez, on the other hand, will aim to maintain their momentum and keep pressure on the league leaders as the season progresses.

The draw serves as a reminder of the competitive nature of the Botola Pro D1, where every point matters in the race for success.
