Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim hails Cameroon goalkeeper Andre Onana

Onana

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has eulogized Cameroon goalkeeper Andre Onana following his impressive performance against Ipswich Town.

The former Inter Milan shot stopper played his first game under new manager as the Red Devils shared the spoils with their opponent on Sunday.

The Premier League giants opened the scoring just one minute into the game after Marcius Rashford found the net.

But the home team staged a strong comeback to level the score in the 43rd-minute mark through Omari Hutchinson.

Speaking after the game, Ruben Amorim heaped praise on Onana, saying he did a great job against Ipswich Town with his long balls.

“André used to do so many long balls… now he is connecting with the players. That was very good for me. He understood the idea. He did a great job”.

The 28-year-old Cameroonian goalkeeper has made 12 appearances in the Premier League this season, conceding 13 goals and keeping five clean sheets across the period.
